Hi all! Happy Thanksgiving week! Just a couple of quick items for you. One that addresses using Omega-3 supplements to combat tolerance issues and one that tells it like it is when it comes to why many lower THC strains are actually better than high THC strains. They both make for good reads! Do Omega-3 Supplements Lower Cannabis Tolerance? Why THC Percentage Isn't All That Matters! Back with more soon! In the meantime, please feel free to comment, subscribe and share!

Hey, everyone, and welcome to another Crossroads Cannablog! Seems like everyone has been super busy and I'm happy to share their excellent content with you, again. And don't forget to like, subscribe and comment at their channels! And ours! Shall we start with the reviews? We do have a few to get through and folks chose some killer strains to share with you this time around!     First up are a pair of reviews from Bob's Bomb Buds . Now, "Bob" is in Canada, but cannabis strains know no borders these days. The Skywalker OG review is great and Skywalker can be found many places down here! Island Pink Kush , though, is one I have yet to see, but I am looking forward to it! It sounds entirely consumable!   Cannacentric Films has another great review online. This go around it is OZ Kush BX2 from Bedford Grow . Lots of genetics info, as usual and a good look at an Illinois weed you might need!   Cannabis Critique went out and got some Mint Cake from Cresco...

Some Weekend Reviewing: Good News Disposable Vape Pens

Image
Hello and welcome to another review! Today's review is of the Good News Me Time and Friyay 300mg disposable vape pens. Good News is yet another of Cresco Labs labels. These highly popular vape pens are available in Illinois and in Michigan, (and probably other markets where Cresco has a presence). Frankly, these vape pens are a good value in most places. In Illinois they run around $35-40 and in Michigan they run in the $20-25 range. Needless to say, it's worthwhile to pick up a couple or a few, if you're in Michigan. These are both top notch products and the fact that both routinely sell out at dispensaries (especially the Friyay) speaks to their popularity. There's a reason for that, too! Folks that use these know they're getting a good product. So, on to the Me Time. The blue Me Time vape is an Indica dominant vape. The aroma, if you take a whiff from the opening, is fruity and a bit reminiscent of bubblegum. The taste is also very nice and smooth with a fruiti...

Hello and welcome to another Crossroads Cannablog! In today's issue we have a few great reviews, some amusing unboxing, news and more! If you like what you see, please feel free to subscribe, comment and share! Doc, over at Weed Entertainment , takes a look at White Bubblegum Gelato hybrid strain from Backpack Boyz out on the West Coast. This is a really nice looking strain! He likes Sativa style flower (euphoric and energizing) and this hybrid looks like it fits the bill! Cannabis Critique beat me to the punch with his review of Cresco 's Green Line OG. I'll be posting my review on this strain very soon but, until then, watch this for a look at  a nice hybrid flower from Cresco.   Cannacentric Films has another great review and this time it is Cresco 's Lime Skunk flower. This is a Sativa from Cresco's Rise line of flower. This review is really an informative look at Lime Skunk. I've had one of their Skunk lines and it was very nice, even though I prefer In...

Hello and welcome back to Crossroads Cannablog! It's been a busy week for me, so I've been a bit slack in getting this out. Mea Culpa Maximus! This edition will run a bit long, but everything is just so darned good! More content coming ASAP!           Cannabis Critique has another good review. This time he is reviewing the Love Triangle strain by Columbia Care in Illinois. Dan, at Dan's Buddha Bodega takes a look at Ha'tuh Pressed Hash by PTS. I must say that this stuff looks pretty darned good, but doesn't look like any I've ever had in the Middle East. Still, Dan's review makes me want to go have a try!   Chris, over at Cannabev , has yet another excellent review. This time he takes a look at Miami Punch, by Revolution Cannabis . Chris is a great reviewer and touches so many bases in his content. Take the time and watch his stuff, you will not be disappointed!   We're going to have a double header from Cannabis Critique , this time aro...

Monday 5/10/21 Links and Info

Image
Hello! Happy Monday and welcome to a new week of Crossroads Cannablog. I've got a few very good links to some great content! I'm going to try some new formatting to aid in presenting things, let me know what you think!   TVape has their review/ranking of the Top 5 Best Oil Pens And 510 Batteries of 2021. These look really nice and have some great features, but we'll keep our eyes peeled for any new ones, as well, 2021 has barely begun.   The ever cheerful and always informative Cannabis Coach Haley has a review of Genius Pills from 1906 . These sound like a nice addition for daytime use!   Chris, from CannaBev , has a nice review of the Lava Cake strain from Aeriz, (an Illinois aeroponics grower). I have liked Aeriz's products when I have tried them. They do a good job when it comes to growing quality cannabis!     Welcome to the information section! Here I am posting content that...informs. How to's and news from the cannabis world! First ...

Hi and welcome back! I have a few things for you to look at. A new review from Alex22 and Weed Entertainment. A look at Delta-8 THC and its legality and an inspiring piece about PTSD and Cannabis, from Green Flower.  First up is Alex and his review of the Moxie reserve lines Sunset Sherbert resin cartridge. He's a fan! Weed Entertainment has their 2020 winners in the LA's Best Heavyweight Couchlock Strains. If you're an Indica fan, (and who isn't?) this is right up your alley! Weed In A Pot takes a look at Delta-8 THC and its legality.  And last, but certainly not least, is a wonderful video from Green Flower about PTSD and combating it with cannabis. Really, folks. This should be a no brainer for everyone. A medicine like ours, that genuinely works with no debilitating side effects, should be the medicine of first choice, not illegal. Well, that's it for today. I expect to be back very soon with more reviews, by myself and others, and more great cannabis conten...

Hello, and welcome to a new week! We have a few things to look at today. We have some great video reviews, a podcast on a cannabis documentary called "Weediatrics",  (about parents using cannabis to treat their children even when the powers that be forbid it), a great piece from Katherine Mangu-Ward on how to talk to your young kids about cannabis, another great review from Cannacentric Films on Aeriz's Cake Breath flower, a great little video from Green Flower and Samantha Miller on understanding cannabinoids, and a Talk and Toke review from the inimitable Cannabev. So let's get to it, shall we? First up is a short article from Katherine Mangu-Ward, at Reason Magazine, on how to talk to your kids about cannabis. As someone who has young adult "kids" I never had to deal with this issue when I re-entered the cannabis culture. I did have to spend some time undoing all the lies that their government schools allowed the cops in D.A.R.E. to try and  brainwas...

Happy 420!

Image
Every day has two 4:20's, but today is our special day! Happy 420, y'all!  To kick off this years special day, how about some cannabis videos from some of my favourite people in our community? Sounds like a plan! Blaze one, sit back and click some links. These folks have ya covered. First up is Vanessa. You might recognize her from Bong Appétit , on Vice. Not only is she one of the smartest, hottest and most talented women in cannabis cooking and advocacy, she can teach us all how to infuse our food with cannabis. Vanessa has a Patreon for cannabis cooking fans and she knows her stuff! So, time to make some snacks! Next up is Dan, with a review of Cresco's Mint Cake flower and their SlurriCrasher Live Butter. I'm not gonna spoil it for you, but suffice it to say, Dan not only informs he amuses, too! He is not to be missed! Cresco's a name you've probably heard of and will likely hear a lot more of, as they are one of the largest cannabis corporations around. ...

My Journey Back To Cannabis

Image
Like many people of my generation I was a recreational cannabis consumer "back in the day". And, as is not unusual, my recreational use tapered off to not using over the years. Then life happened. Over the course of the last year or so, I started to develop a good deal of painful maladies. Arthritis, knee issues (likely arthritis, as well, but still not diagnosed fully), neck and shoulder pains, nausea and other debilitating and painful issues. Sleeping also became an issue as nighttime pain interrupted things all night long.  My doctors took the usual route with prescription NSAID's and we found out quickly that OTC meds did nothing, and prescription NSAID's just made me ill and also offered no relief. Opioids were just not even on my radar, and I let my doctors know it. That was a road I just was not going to go down.  Like many folks out there, I had watched an aging parent with diabetic myopathy and other pain, suffer through that pain and getting enough medicat...

Welcome to Crossroads Cannablog!

Image
Welcome to Crossroads Cannablog. Here I will be featuring news, reviews, videos, commentary and more, that concerns cannabis. Some of my journey will be here, as well as that of others whom I know in the Cannabis Community, in the Midwest and beyond. As I live in a place where cannabis is still forbidden and I need to use cannabis for medical reasons, much of what I publish from a personal perspective will be kind of anonymous on my part. But I will endeavor to not bore you! One of the most frustrating aspects of delving back into cannabis after decades away, is finding relevant information on strain, methods and products, to use for my particular needs. I am sure I am not alone in this, either. And the major search engines don't make things easy. So, I'm going to try to be a "Best Of" clearinghouse. If you have any questions about anything cannabis related, ask away! I'll try to answer it, or find an answer for you, if I can. And I'll bring in an expert o...
