Review: AU Dragonfly Vega Nutter Butter Pre-Rolls 5 Pack (3.5 G)

Image
Greetings and welcome back! Today we have a review of Dragonfly's 3.5 gram pre-roll pack of the Nutter Butter strain. Nutter Butter is a cross of C435 or the Grateful Breath strain (info varies) and Peanut Butter Breath. Each pre-roll should contain .7 grams of whole flower. Now, the boxing of this is very nice. Good, strong cardboard and it is not difficult to open. The joints are all about 1.5-1.75" (smokeable section) and are not too tightly packed, (something other manufacturers should pay attention to). They draw easily, as they should and burn fairly evenly. The aroma of the pre-rolls, in my pack, was a bit floral with some fruity and earthy notes. The smoke, all the way to the end, was smooth and flavourful. There was a definite diesel taste to it, but not in any unpleasant way. It was tasty!  The high with this one comes on hard and fast. It is not a creeper, by any means. It starts in the head with a nice euphoric lift and then hits your body. Pain and anxiet

Review: AU Motor Cake Pre-Roll 5 pack (1.75 g) (Michigan)

Image
Hello, everyone and welcome to another review! This time around our cannabis product is a 5 pack of Motor Cake pre-rolls from Common Citizen , a Michigan grower. They total 1.75 grams and each swift is .35 grams. The THC content is a nice 20.43%! The primary terpenes in this strain are Limonene and Linalool, and others at lesser degrees, but these two are the standouts and you can smell them and taste them. Now, a lot of folks would take a pass on these shorties, but I'm not one of them. This small pack cost a whopping $18 and only had two taxes (sales and adult use) that totaled 16%. The dispensary also handed me a $10 discount on my order (pretax!). So, I got almost 2 grams of this for $18! That's a good deal and let's me try out more strains to suit my needs, rather than commit to larger amounts that might not be what I need. These are perfect for that!     Now, Motor Cake was completely new to me. It's an Indica dominant hybrid cross of Motor Breath and Wedd

Review: Verano G-Line G Purps Flower

Image
Hello and welcome to another review! I do hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend and have a great week beyond it! Today's review is of another Verano product and one that has quickly become a favourite strain of mine, G Purps. This strain is an Indica dominant hybrid that comes from crossing G6 "Jet Fuel" with Purple Punch. This a great strain for medical users as well as recreational consumers.      As with most Verano flower their G-Line comes nicely sealed in a glass jar with a styro sela on the inside. Unlike their Private Stock line though, it does not come with a humidity packet. I strongly suggest you pop one in after opening it, as it will improve this already good flower. I do have to say, though, that I like that I have been getting a tic more flower with the Verano products than some others. It is sold as a 3.5 (1/8th oz), but they actually list it on the label, under "usable" as 3.65 grams. Either way, they are giving their customers a lagni

Review: Verano Reserve Hybrid: Wedding Cake (Flower)

Image
Welcome to my review of Verano's Wedding Cake flower. This took me a few days to do, because I wanted to see just how this flower worked using a couple of different methods. First up was getting a look at this stuff and seeing what it smells like. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised to see this packaged as nicely as it was. Nice glass jar with a decent lid and it was sealed on the inside with an additional cover and had a Boveda 62% 4 gram humidity pack in it. This is something that other producers should pay attention to. One thing I had hoped for with this beautiful packaging was that it would be airtight. I left it out overnight, (instead of returning it to my usual airtight storage) and the area around where I had it was redolent with the aroma of this Wedding Cake. If someone other than yourself or family in the know, smelling your stash is a potential problem, you will definitely want to transfer the contents of these jars to an actual airtight container.   Unlike som

My Journey Back To Cannabis

Image
Like many people of my generation I was a recreational cannabis consumer "back in the day". And, as is not unusual, my recreational use tapered off to not using over the years. Then life happened. Over the course of the last year or so, I started to develop a good deal of painful maladies. Arthritis, knee issues (likely arthritis, as well, but still not diagnosed fully), neck and shoulder pains, nausea and other debilitating and painful issues. Sleeping also became an issue as nighttime pain interrupted things all night long.  My doctors took the usual route with prescription NSAID's and we found out quickly that OTC meds did nothing, and prescription NSAID's just made me ill and also offered no relief. Opioids were just not even on my radar, and I let my doctors know it. That was a road I just was not going to go down.  Like many folks out there, I had watched an aging parent with diabetic myopathy and other pain, suffer through that pain and getting enough medicat
