 Hello, and welcome to a new week! We have a few things to look at today. We have some great video reviews, a podcast on a cannabis documentary called "Weediatrics",  (about parents using cannabis to treat their children even when the powers that be forbid it), a great piece from Katherine Mangu-Ward on how to talk to your young kids about cannabis, another great review from Cannacentric Films on Aeriz's Cake Breath flower, a great little video from Green Flower and Samantha Miller on understanding cannabinoids, and a Talk and Toke review from the inimitable Cannabev. So let's get to it, shall we?

First up is a short article from Katherine Mangu-Ward, at Reason Magazine, on how to talk to your kids about cannabis. As someone who has young adult "kids" I never had to deal with this issue when I re-entered the cannabis culture. I did have to spend some time undoing all the lies that their government schools allowed the cops in D.A.R.E. to try and  brainwash them with, though. Thankfully, we did not raise kids that were susceptible to BS. It served me well, later on!

 


 

How To Talk to Your Young Kids About Weed


Next up is a nice video tutorial from Samantha Miller and Green Flower. If you'd like to strengthen your knowledge of Cannabis, cannabinoids, THC/THCA, etc, this is a nice primer on the whole shooting match! This is a great 40 minute video with information for even the most informed of us.


If you're like most of in the time of the pandemic, you always need something to watch or listen to. This episode of the Cannabis Health Radio Podcast (which you listen to) leads to the cannabis documentary "Weediatrics: A Covert Medical Mission". This sounds like a great inside look at one of the issues that has spurred the legalisation of cannabis and hemp, nationwide. Medical cannabis for children has moved things in a positive direction for medical cannabis users, as well as the recreational market. What these parents go through and have to endure to get the medicine their children need is nothing short of heroic.


If you're interested in new cannabis strains or producers our friend over at Cannabev does a Talk n' Toke with Nicole from Chicago Kush. They take a look at Runtz from Chicago Kush (not yet available in Illinois) and share their experiences with this strain. I sincerely hope Chicago Kush gets through the hoops that Illinois has set up, because their product looks better than what is currently sold in the state. And last, but certainly not least, is an excellent review and look at the Cake Breath strain of flower from Cannacentric Films. If you are not familiar with Aeriz, they are a grower that uses aeroponics to grow their plants. Now, I cannot say this is the optimal growing method, but everything I have sampled of theirs has been top notch. All they really need to work on is their containers, which are not airtight. Other than that...no complaints on this company, so far!

Review: Verano Reserve Hybrid: Wedding Cake (Flower)

 Welcome to my review of Verano's Wedding Cake flower. This took me a few days to do, because I wanted to see just how this flower worked using a couple of different methods. First up was getting a look at this stuff and seeing what it smells like. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised to see this packaged as nicely as it was. Nice glass jar with a decent lid and it was sealed on the inside with an additional cover and had a Boveda 62% 4 gram humidity pack in it. This is something that other producers should pay attention to. One thing I had hoped for with this beautiful packaging was that it would be airtight. I left it out overnight, (instead of returning it to my usual airtight storage) and the area around where I had it was redolent with the aroma of this Wedding Cake. If someone other than yourself or family in the know, smelling your stash is a potential problem, you will definitely want to transfer the contents of these jars to an actual airtight container.   Unlike som

    Hey, everyone, and welcome to another Crossroads Cannablog! Seems like everyone has been super busy and I'm happy to share their excellent content with you, again. And don't forget to like, subscribe and comment at their channels! And ours! Shall we start with the reviews? We do have a few to get through and folks chose some killer strains to share with you this time around!     First up are a pair of reviews from Bob's Bomb Buds . Now, "Bob" is in Canada, but cannabis strains know no borders these days. The Skywalker OG review is great and Skywalker can be found many places down here! Island Pink Kush , though, is one I have yet to see, but I am looking forward to it! It sounds entirely consumable!   Cannacentric Films has another great review online. This go around it is OZ Kush BX2 from Bedford Grow . Lots of genetics info, as usual and a good look at an Illinois weed you might need!   Cannabis Critique went out and got some Mint Cake from Cresco Labs

Review: Verano Private Stock: Mag Landrace Flower

  I hope everyone is having a great weekend! Today's review is of another Verano product, Mag Landrace Flower, from their Private Stock line. I have become a real fan of Verano's products (as you can see by previous reviews) and have managed to pick up a few of their more excellent products lately. I chose the Mag Landrace on a whim, after some research into it and, I must say, that it was not a bad idea to get this one. I am primarily an Indica user, so this pure landrace variety was intriguing. How can you possibly say no to a strain that is as old and potent as this one? Well, I can't! And I have not regretted it, at all. This strain is worth a toke or two. And, if you're a medical user. there are some real benefits to this one.     As you can see, this batch came in at a nice 25.36% THC. That's pretty darned good in my book.
