Hello and welcome back to Crossroads Cannablog! It's been a busy week for me, so I've been a bit slack in getting this out. Mea Culpa Maximus! This edition will run a bit long, but everything is just so darned good! More content coming ASAP!           Cannabis Critique has another good review. This time he is reviewing the Love Triangle strain by Columbia Care in Illinois. Dan, at Dan's Buddha Bodega takes a look at Ha'tuh Pressed Hash by PTS. I must say that this stuff looks pretty darned good, but doesn't look like any I've ever had in the Middle East. Still, Dan's review makes me want to go have a try!   Chris, over at Cannabev , has yet another excellent review. This time he takes a look at Miami Punch, by Revolution Cannabis . Chris is a great reviewer and touches so many bases in his content. Take the time and watch his stuff, you will not be disappointed!   We're going to have a double header from Cannabis Critique , this time around, because

Review: Verano Private Stock: Mag Landrace Flower

Image
I hope everyone is having a great weekend! Today's review is of another Verano product, Mag Landrace Flower, from their Private Stock line. I have become a real fan of Verano's products (as you can see by previous reviews) and have managed to pick up a few of their more excellent products lately. I chose the Mag Landrace on a whim, after some research into it and, I must say, that it was not a bad idea to get this one. I am primarily an Indica user, so this pure landrace variety was intriguing. How can you possibly say no to a strain that is as old and potent as this one? Well, I can't! And I have not regretted it, at all. This strain is worth a toke or two. And, if you're a medical user. there are some real benefits to this one.     As you can see, this batch came in at a nice 25.36% THC. That's pretty darned good in my book. I do wish that Verano, and the other companies would let us know the terpene profiles of their cannabis. That should be a prominent bit o

Hi all! Sorry for the delay, but life happens. So, to make it up, today's posting is going to be a bit bigger than usual. And it won't be difficult, as it seems everyone is being very prolific this week! And the news out there on the cannabis front isn't all bad. It seems like everyone is talking about terpenes these days, and I can see why. They are what gives us great aroma, taste and effects in our cannabis. So, we'll be exploring that today, as well as in reviews and such. Let's get down to it, shall we? Bob's Bomb Buds takes a look at some Purple Urkle, a Sativa from Canada. This one looks quite nice! Tvape has a look at the Pax Era & Pax Pro vs 510 Threaded Batteries. Nice look at the two and kind of makes you hope they take the best of both and make a truly great battery!   Cannacentric Films gives us a review of Strawberry Kush from Rythm. I'll be honest, this sounds like a really strain for me! Cannabis Critique also has a good review of ano

Monday 5/10/21 Links and Info

Hello! Happy Monday and welcome to a new week of Crossroads Cannablog. I've got a few very good links to some great content! I'm going to try some new formatting to aid in presenting things, let me know what you think!   TVape has their review/ranking of the Top 5 Best Oil Pens And 510 Batteries of 2021. These look really nice and have some great features, but we'll keep our eyes peeled for any new ones, as well, 2021 has barely begun.   The ever cheerful and always informative Cannabis Coach Haley has a review of Genius Pills from 1906 . These sound like a nice addition for daytime use!   Chris, from CannaBev , has a nice review of the Lava Cake strain from Aeriz, (an Illinois aeroponics grower). I have liked Aeriz's products when I have tried them. They do a good job when it comes to growing quality cannabis!     Welcome to the information section! Here I am posting content that...informs. How to's and news from the cannabis world! First up is another insta

Review: Verano Reserve Premium Cartridge - Wedding Cake (500mg)

Image
Happy Hump Day and welcome to a new review! Today's review is of yet another of Verano's products from it's Reserve line. This is my first go 'round with a Verano cartridge and I must say that I was not disappointed! These Reserve products are a bit more expensive and, frankly, in most cases it's worth it but Verano is taking a real chance with these, especially given that Illinois prices are already higher than most places. Still, if you are looking for a nice quality cannabis product, Verano is not letting their customers down. As you can see this cartridges oil packs an impressive punch, coming in at a whopping 86.7% THC potency! Not a vape cartridge for beginners. I do wish they would include the terpene profile for this extract. It would definitely help out folks looking for specific effects.  One very minor drawback, in my opinion, is that the cartridge does not have a mouthpiece or bottom stopper, as many other brands do. I don't think there would be en

Hi and welcome back! I have a few things for you to look at. A new review from Alex22 and Weed Entertainment. A look at Delta-8 THC and its legality and an inspiring piece about PTSD and Cannabis, from Green Flower.  First up is Alex and his review of the Moxie reserve lines Sunset Sherbert resin cartridge. He's a fan! Weed Entertainment has their 2020 winners in the LA's Best Heavyweight Couchlock Strains. If you're an Indica fan, (and who isn't?) this is right up your alley! Weed In A Pot takes a look at Delta-8 THC and its legality.  And last, but certainly not least, is a wonderful video from Green Flower about PTSD and combating it with cannabis. Really, folks. This should be a no brainer for everyone. A medicine like ours, that genuinely works with no debilitating side effects, should be the medicine of first choice, not illegal. Well, that's it for today. I expect to be back very soon with more reviews, by myself and others, and more great cannabis conten

Review: Verano Swift Lifts - G Purps

Image
Hi and welcome to this Saturday review. Today I'm reviewing G Purps Swift Lifts mini pre-rolls from Verano . This is not my first time with these and I will freely admit that G Purps is a favourite of mine, especially these little pre-rolls. They are powerful and just the right size for anyone, medical or recreational users. Verano recently changed their packaging from plain black and white to this newer and more colourful design. It does look nice but the best thing is that the quality has not only remained the same, it has gone up! So, let's get to it, shall we? As you can see the contents pack a potent punch and come in at a THC content of 25.3%! G Purps, also known as Grandaddy Purple, GDP, etc, is a very potent and pleasing Indica cross of Mendo Purps, Skunk and Afghanistan.  These 5 pre-rolls are nicely rolled. They have a great firmness to them and the paper filter doesn't interfere with your draw or let anything through, other than smoke. They do NOT come with a Bov

Hello, and welcome to a new week! We have a few things to look at today. We have some great video reviews, a podcast on a cannabis documentary called "Weediatrics",  (about parents using cannabis to treat their children even when the powers that be forbid it), a great piece from Katherine Mangu-Ward on how to talk to your young kids about cannabis, another great review from Cannacentric Films on Aeriz's Cake Breath flower, a great little video from Green Flower and Samantha Miller on understanding cannabinoids, and a Talk and Toke review from the inimitable Cannabev. So let's get to it, shall we? First up is a short article from Katherine Mangu-Ward, at Reason Magazine, on how to talk to your kids about cannabis. As someone who has young adult "kids" I never had to deal with this issue when I re-entered the cannabis culture. I did have to spend some time undoing all the lies that their government schools allowed the cops in D.A.R.E. to try and  brainwas

Review: Verano Reserve Hybrid: Wedding Cake (Flower)

Image
Welcome to my review of Verano's Wedding Cake flower. This took me a few days to do, because I wanted to see just how this flower worked using a couple of different methods. First up was getting a look at this stuff and seeing what it smells like. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised to see this packaged as nicely as it was. Nice glass jar with a decent lid and it was sealed on the inside with an additional cover and had a Boveda 62% 4 gram humidity pack in it. This is something that other producers should pay attention to. One thing I had hoped for with this beautiful packaging was that it would be airtight. I left it out overnight, (instead of returning it to my usual airtight storage) and the area around where I had it was redolent with the aroma of this Wedding Cake. If someone other than yourself or family in the know, smelling your stash is a potential problem, you will definitely want to transfer the contents of these jars to an actual airtight container.   Unlike som
